The Central Coast Challenge hole-in-one contest rolls into Twin Lakes in Goleta. Ten dollars a swing at Hole 1, $1,500 for an ace, and a share of every entry going to Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation.

Our debut at Glen Annie over Labor Day weekend drew 374 golfers in three days and more than 200 swings at the ace. A few came close, but nobody dropped it, so the $10,000 is still unclaimed. Next up, we're bringing the Challenge to Twin Lakes Golf Course in Goleta, Friday to Sunday, October 23 to 25. Ten dollars gets you a swing at the 75-yard Hole 1, an ace pays $1,500, and a share of every entry goes to Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, supporting Santa Barbara County families of children with cancer. Then on Halloween weekend, October 30 to November 1, we head back to Glen Annie's No. 6 with $10,000 on the line.

It's part of the round you're already playing. When you reach the designated hole, pay the entry and take your swing at the ace. Entry and prize are set for each stop; at Twin Lakes it's $10 a swing for $1,500.

When your round brings you to the designated hole, your entry gets you one shot at the ace and a keepsake to take home. Land it on the green and you're entered to win a new wedge.

One ball, one hole-in-one, captured on camera and confirmed by our staff. Land it and you're paid the full prize on the spot, with no strings and no waiting.
Everybody wins
A share of every entry goes to a local charity the course chooses. Ace or not, your entry did some good on the way through.

A hole-in-one is rare, so every one earns its place here: name, course, and date. Nobody's aced it yet, so the board's still empty. Someone's about to change that.

Who we are
Dan Desiderio and Eli Harris are two Central Coast natives who teamed up to bring something new to local golf.
What we do
Dan's an operations guy at heart, having run operations for companies from ecommerce to construction. Golf runs in his blood: his dad has spent three decades as a superintendent at courses across Central and Southern California, so Dan grew up on the course long before he built a career off it. Eli has built a couple of energy-efficiency companies from the ground up, and he's passionate about sports and about teaching entrepreneurship to the next generation here at home.

Both born and raised here, we know these courses, these communities, and what makes local golf special. We built the Challenge to give something back to it.
